Fall

Our dear anZel took Fall very seriously. He actually showed us what it really meant to “fall”. Thus he gave us the scare of our life by far.

Since anZel has early bed time, dAd took over anZel’s room Saturday night to work and made him sleep in our queen size bed alone until he was done with work. That was mistake #1. Mistake #2: I put him in this light fleece sleeping bag instead of the usual Eskimo (Michelin tire) sleep sag, so he was a lot more mobile. While we went about our own work (dAd upstairs and me downstairs), anZel took a tour of the queen size bed in his sleep. While we both thought anZel was asleep as usual, we suddenly heard what seems to be THUNDER followed by a loud cry. Our heart stopped and ran as fast as we could to him. While we would have received an Olympic Gold for the sprint, we deserved a metal for being the most careless parents on the planet. I can’t even remember what happened next except I held anZel as close to me as possible. Fortunately, he stopped crying. We looked at his head probably at least 30 times before we decided that he was ok. Since then, I am on the look out for signs of any damage we have done.

I guess if he doesn’t get a scholarship to college, we will pay for it as we are at fault.
