Star Gazer

I am slowly forgetting the days of when anZel was just a blob of flesh. In the heat of trying to feed him (usually around the tenth time I get the stupid mouse to sing Jingle Bells, more on this later) or get him to sleep for one hour, I secretly wish that he would be a blob of flesh again.

Oh yes, the mixed blessings of him knowing how things work in this world. anZel surprises us with things he learns everyday. Last weekend, upon watching the sheep ate grass in the farm, he demonstrated how they ate by lowering his head. He will let us know that he doesn’t want a certain food by waving his hand, sometimes BOTH hands.

Lately, he loves being outside. Who could blame him? We see signs of spring all around us. Since the February, we have seen squirrel and eagles mated. YES, it’s spring. No, I don’t have any announcement to make. Back to being outside, we usually take him out at least once a day when weather permits. If I am home early enough, I take him out in the evening when there is still light out. As soon as we step in the door after our evening outing, he would point at the door again. I would tell him that it’s dark out and we don’t go out at night. We will go out again tomorrow. Our dear son has been waking between 1:30 to 2:30 in the morning wanting to go outside. Technically, it is “tomorrow” after midnight. Right?
