anZel’s doing his best to climb all over the place…this time he’s climbing the metal stairwell in the playground. It goes up to the slide.

if only I could put this in a bottle…

We did our usual breakfast together this morning. anZel and I shared a bowl of oatmeal. This is the only way I could possibly get a few strain of fiber in him. It was relatively successful for the past couple of days. However, he started to fling the oatmeal every where with his spoon.

In light of yet another stressful eating session, I started playing with him and eventually asked him if I could lay on his lap for a nap. He clapped his hands. So I laid my head on his tiny lap and asked him to pat me on my head to put me to sleep. He patted me gently. If only I could put this moment in a bottle to remind me, it will come in handy when he flings another bite of oatmeal in my face.

Green is the new black

It was great fun traveling with anZel in early March back to the Mid-west. anZel thoroughly enjoyed his first trip on the plane. However, this is what we saw from the plane. The picture doesn’t do justice to the eerily organized patches of snow in remote mountain tops somewhere between Montana and Indiana. I can’t help but wonder what those mountain tops will be like when anZel is my age.

anZel’s officially 1 now…it feels strange to say that he’s 1, instead of some number of months. It feels like he’s growing up really fast…I still remember the days when we were asked how old he is, and we say “X days!” Then it’s “X weeks”, then “X months” and now “1 year old!”

Thinking back, it’s been a tough year for beeber. She’s always running around taking care of things, regular checkups, picking up toys for anzel, figuring out how to heal anZel’s eczema, etc etc. Mother’s love is definitely unconditional…Also, without grandma helen’s help, it woulda been a disaster for us new parents. Can’t imagine how we could have made it without her.

We had a great birthday party out at the park for anZel today. Here are some random photos:

Happy Birthday anZel!

anZel’s first birthday was on 4/18. We took a quick video of the birthday singing…I know we won’t make American Idol so please excuse the singing…

anZel has learned how to climb up and down the stairs the past week or so.

The filming of this video was under strict supervision, no animals or little kids were harmed during this filming.

anZel went to Filoli Garden today and was all over the place.

anZel != Y Combinator founder

A company called Pairwise created a little Y Combinator founder quiz based on personality tests done on all their current founders.

It took A LOT of effort from beeber and myself to get anZel through this personality test. The result is not encouraging…anZel’s only 35% similar to the current founders.

I guess he’s not going to have much luck as a Y Combinator founder…sigh…
