Ok, call this the cantonese nursery rhyme weekend. Here’s another one that grandma helen’s been reciting.

氹氹转 菊花园
炒米饼 糯呀糯米团
五月初五系龙舟节呀
阿妈叫我去睇龙船
我唔去睇我要睇鸡仔
鸡仔大我拎去卖
卖得几多钱
卖得几多只呀
我有只风车仔 佢转得好好睇
睇佢氹氹转呀 氹氹转
氹氹转氹氹转睇巨氹氹转呀
氹氹转呀氹氹转呀转

Here’s a version that I like better.

凼凼转,菊花圆,
炒米饼,糯米团,
阿妈叫我睇(看)龙船,
我唔睇,睇鸡仔,
鸡仔大,摞(拿)去卖,
卖得几多钱?
卖得三百六十五个仙.

    Haha, I remember this one. Cantonese wasn’t my native tone, but I do have vague memory of these kiddie rhymes, from TV in HK. I never know the full version, thanks for posting it. They do sounds weird in some way, but it will be fun to try out with April.

    I know this! Theres a tune that goes with it. But they dont use that lyrics! But I still love it so much~
