anZel and Arden videos

Written by beeber on May 15, 2009 – 10:19 pm -Arden has a couple of cold sore on her lip and her tongue. The poor kid keeps telling us that we are giving her “chili”. How does she know what chili tastes like when she has never had it herself?
On our way home from school this evening, Arden was inhaling a box of raisins. I told her that she must share with her brother…she said “Right hand gives you”.
During the same ride home, anZel was mesmerized by the stories on the radio. When Arden offered him with one raisin, he said “No, thank you. I had one at school. I will go home and have dinner.” If only I could store this in a bottle.

A few days later…
anZel: Do trees have mum and dad?

Arden brought over her snack container and begged me to open it in the morning…because I didn’t want her to have corn chips for breakfast, I pretended I couldn’t open it.
Arden: Open
mum: I can’t open it.
Arden turned around and look at the draw where we put knives and said: Knife
mum: Knife is for cutting.
Arden sat down on the floor and tried to open the container by herself and said “Try open”

Written by beeber on May 3, 2009 – 9:28 pm -We have read Run Away Bunny since anZel was a wee baby. Lately, he is able to grasp the idea of what the story was all about. We have been playing the game of what if mum was a bird, what would you be in order to be with me, or vice versa.
mum: What if I were an elephant, what would you be?
anZel: I would be a baby elephant.
mum: What if I were an orange, what would you be?
